Each event offers simple moments of connection between children, parents, and school staff, creating consistency throughout the year. Whether it's breakfast on campus, popsicles in the park, or end-of-year celebrations, every meet-up fosters belonging, encourages positive engagement, and supports a strong foundation between families and schools.

Everything families need to know about getting involved.
It's part of Binding Connection's family-engagement hub, designed to strengthen relationships between caregivers and schools through welcoming, low-pressure events like Muffins With Mom.
All Watkins Elementary caregivers — moms, dads, grandparents, and guardians — are welcome. Each event is open and inclusive.
Follow the school's Facebook hub or check flyers sent home with students. Updates are also shared through Binding Connection's community page.
A Mom Ambassador is a parent volunteer within the school who helps create a warm, welcoming experience for families. They assist with event setup, greet attendees, organize refreshments, encourage conversation, and serve as a friendly bridge between caregivers and the school. Their presence helps every gathering feel personal and inclusive, ensuring no caregiver feels alone or overlooked.
Simply express interest at an event or contact the Binding Connection coordinator. Training and support are provided — no experience required.

Watkins Elementary
Springfield Public Schools
Binding Connections launched its first school‑based partnership at Watkins Elementary during the 2025–2026 school year. The goal was to create consistent, welcoming spaces where families could connect, share experiences, and build community.
