Our Story
Why We Started
Every school year, thousands of parents drop their children off at the school door — and walk away feeling disconnected. Not because they don't care, but because no one built a bridge. The Elementary Initiative exists to build that bridge.
We believe that when parents feel welcomed and valued at school, children thrive. When caregivers know one another, communities grow stronger. And when schools and families work together, the results go far beyond the classroom.
The Elementary Initiative began with one school, one vision, and a deep conviction: every parent is born to connect.

Through our Mom Ambassador program and community events, we equip parents to show up confidently for their children and their school.

The Elementary Initiative runs on a rhythm of regular gatherings throughout the school year — each one designed to be easy to attend and genuinely worth showing up for.
Partner with a School
We work directly with elementary schools to understand their families' needs and co-create a calendar of events that fits their community.
Recruit Mom Ambassadors
Parent volunteers from within the school are trained and supported to help host events, welcome families, and keep the community warm year-round.
Host Quarterly Gatherings
From Muffins with Mom to Parkside Pop & Play, we host regular events that give families a reason to show up and connect.
Grow the Community
Each gathering builds on the last — deepening relationships, expanding the circle, and creating a school culture where every family feels at home.
